Unlocking Castle Drogo's hidden stories
Did you know there are over 3000 objects carefully stored at Castle Drogo that are rarely seen? Some are too fragile for daily display, some we lack the space or appropriate space to display, others are new to the collection or might no longer be relevant. This exhibition explores some of the hidden highlights from our stores and the potential stories that they can tell. You'll see the work we do behind the scenes to develop and care for our collections, and the power and relevance they still have today to teach us about the past and shape our future.
But this is only the beginning. The themes introduced in the exhibition from childhood to servants, from endangered species to killer collections, are only the tip of the iceberg. They give you an idea of the exciting stories we can explore and tell with further research. We want to hear what interests you and what you want to see more of, so don't forget to leave your thoughts at the end of the exhibition!
