THE BEACON SCHOOL LOG BOOK - Exmouth Museum and Heritage Centre registered charity 1216717
By: Exmouth Museum
Added: 12 March 2014
In common with other schools The Beacon maintained a Log Book detailing significant events in school life.
This year we are exhibiting the Log covering the Great War period.
It records 32 ex-pupils and a teacher from The Beacon who died whilst in His Majesty’s service and contains information from the Log supplemented by research carried out by Exmouth Museum.
It is hoped that this will give present generations an insight into the conditions of 100 years ago and will be a fitting memorial to the teachers and ex-pupils of the School who took part in the conflict.
