RE-OPENING OF DAWLISH MUSEUM

AND TO COMMEMORATE THE 70th ANNIVERSARY OF D-DAY.

MASSED PIPES AND DRUMS WILL MARCH TO THE LAWN AND PERFORM A FULL MUSICAL PROGRAMME.

This year the opening ceremony will be performed by Mrs. Mavis Stuckey. Mavis has been a committee member, steward and loyal supporter of the museum for many years.

To commemorate the 70th Anniversary of D-Day we have asked Mr John Millin, the son of Piper Bill, to open the display.

To further celebrate this occasion the massed pipe bands of  Plymouth, North Devon, Southampton and Bideford will be attending. They will gather in the Surgery Car Park and then march down to the Lawn, passing the museum at about 3pm. Once there they will perform a 90 minute musical programme.

THERE WILL BE A COLLECTION WITH ALL PROCEEDS GOING TO DAWLISH MUSEUM
