The Museum is always pleased to loan boxes of artefacts free of charge to local schools for use in lessons.
We recently lent a box of items from the mid-War years to Bassets Farm Primary and were delighted to receive a note from their teacher –
“I also wanted to let you know that the children in both Year 1 classes baked and decorated gingerbread men to sell at our school Christmas Fayre and we raised a little over £36 for the museum. We fully appreciated the loan of the artefacts you provided and the children have been amazed and baffled by many of them.”
Thank you, children.
As well as Schools we can lend items to Clubs and Societies – and if required will be able to come along and talk about some of the more unusual objects that we have.
