I am a work experience student from St.Cuthbert Mayne and I was looking through the archives and this caught my eye as I have an interest in photography.

Box cameras were introduced in the late 19th century and are fairly simple, the most common form is a cardboard or plastic box with a lens in one end and film at the other.

This particular camera is an american KODAK Six-20 Brownie Junior. It was one of the first cameras to have metal replace the body of the camera whereas previously it would of been made of wood.
