There has always been some confusion about where the real D-Day pipes, (that were played on Sword Beach by Piper Bill Millin), are located , as Pegasus bridge Museum in France also have a set of Bills pipes on display. A recent article in the Dawlish Gazette where reporter Ellen grindley saw documented evidence that Dawlish Museum is conclusively the home to the famous pipes and Pegasus Museum lays no claim to house them , will hopefully go some way to ensure that any future media articles will reflect this fact.
