The Barber Bay Quartet delight museum visitors!
A request from the Barber Bay Quartet to sing in the museum was realised yesterday. The four music students arrived footsore and weary from walking from Torquay, but were ready to croon to visitors after a little rest and refreshment!
BarberBay are a 4 piece a cappella band who are based in and around the Falmouth and Cornwall area.
All four members of the group are currently in their third year at Falmouth university studying for a Bachelors degree in music and it was here that they met.
They set out from Plymouth on the 31st March, walking and crooning their way to Exeter, performing at 20 venues on the way to the delight of many.
The museum visitors were very impressed with their performance and the whole idea behind their tour, and stayed to chat to them.
The group said that the best things about the tour was meeting all the different people as they travelled along.
You can still catch a performance as they will be performing :-
on the 9th April at the Anchor Inn, Star Cross at 3:00pm
and 5:00pm at Bamboo in Exmouth
and the final performance will be on the 10th March at
The Angel in Exeter at 4:00pm
The museum has been delighted to be part of their tour!
