The grounds and museum displays at Crownhill Fort will be open to visitors. Explore 16 acres of grounds, wander historic ramparts complete with artillery dating to the late 19th century, discover what everyday life was like for those based at the Fort by visiting museum displays, chat to our staff and volunteers about what it takes to keep a Victorian Fortress looking good. There will be an opportunity for visitors to have a go at Victorian Signalling and practice building a model archway similar to those used to create the Palmerston Forts.
A programme of optional timed activities, including walking tours and Gun firing, will be published on our website.
Admission £5 adults, £3 children (aged 5-15 inclusive), parking £2.50 per vehicle. You can buy tickets in advance or buy on the day using cash only. Under 5s do not require a ticket and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
