Late Night Line Up - Totnes Museum

Say hello to four members of a Cornish-based paranormal group called Encounters With The Spirit World. These boys and girls were posing for a picture before beginning their Friday night/ Saturday morning vigil at Totnes Museum last week-end. They are just one of many groups checking in for a 'ghost-watch' at our 16th century Museum - a Tudor building which is getting a bit of a reputation for things going bump in the night. We can now add a whistling sound to that as the group tell me they heard that noise in our Bennett Room on the ground floor. It's a gallery named after the late Mr Bill Bennett who played such a major role in setting up the Museum nearly fifty years ago. Rather strangely, on the recent day one of the Museum's tiniest treasures - the Lee Ring- was removed from its case in that room to begin its trip to be studied at the V&A - there was a lights failure AND problems with the 'phone and computer in the building. Was it Bill saying remember me? Anyway the Cornish group say they want to come back at some point in the future. Always nice to see the Museum earning its keep outside of normal hours. At least, on a ghost-hunt, you don't use much electricity!
