Lunchtime Lecture: Gardens of Devon (note revised timing) - Topsham Museum

Added: 14 July 2021

Our next Museum Lecture at Matthews Hall will feature a talk by Julia Tremlett on the NGS in Devon and is a history of the National Gardens Scheme since its foundation.

Doors will open at 11.30, with refreshments available from the cafe at Matthews Hall.  the lecture will then start at 12 noon.  As usual the lecture is free of charge but places are limited, so please arrive early to ensure entry.

Julia will also mention the charities the NGS supports, with a description of some of the gardens in Devon which are open in aid of the Scheme.  She has opened her own garden at Bickham House for 28 years and she was Treasurer for the NGS for 25 years.  Her family have tended the gardens at Bickham House for 300 years.
