Where: The Thatch, Croyde
Time: 19.30 - 23.00
Cost: £5.00 adult £3.50 under 16
Suitable for: Family friendly

Join us for a special celebration night with Britain's top big wave rider Andrew Cotton, as we bring you a world premiere of the latest documentary film from the Zon North Canyon team from Nazare in Portugal.

It promises to be a huge night, and is the first opportunity for Cotty's many friends & growing army of fans to congratulate him publicly on his latest achievement - riding a potential world record wave estimated at 80 feet!

This new film shows truly jaw-dropping big wave action from the likes of Andrew Cotton, Garrett McNamara and even a cameo appearance from 11 time world surfing champion Kelly Slater. And you get to see behind the scenes with the intensive training that these athletes go through to cope with riding - and wiping out on - giant Atlantic waves.

Andrew Cotton will be there in person to talk about exploits, plus we'll have one of his tow-in surfboards & wetsuits from the surfing museum's collection on display.

Tickets & Information

Once again we're returning to The Thatch pub in Croyde with our special cinema room and big screen, thanks to Chris Burrows from the legendary Croyde Deckchair Cinema. This charity film night takes place on Tuesday December 10th, and we have TWO screenings - the first at 7.30pm and then repeated at 9pm.

Advance tickets only  - priced £5 for adults & £3.50 for under 16s - can now be bought now online in our web shop www.museumofbritishsurfing.org.uk/shop or at The Thatch in Croyde and the Museum of British Surfing in Caen Street car park in Braunton  (open 11am to 3pm - Friday to Saturday).

There will be a mega prize raffle draw on the night with a new longboard worth £600 donated by Tiki as the top prize! Plus there will be special food promotions.

All proceeds from the night go to the Museum of British Surfing registered charity 1131433 to help with our work celebrating & preserving UK surf heritage - funds raised help towards our volunteer programme; creating new apprentice posts for 2014; helping to run the building; and to develop the collection and create new exhibitions each year. Thanks for your support!
