The official unveiling of the History of the Port of Teignmouth Timeline, by the Mayor Pete Williams - Teign Heritage Centre Home to Teignmouth and Shaldon Museum

Added: 19 June 2021
In October 2020, Teign Heritage Centre was awarded a grant from the Arts Council Recovery Fund and part of the money was used to appoint creative artists Sam Lock and Amy McCarthy. One half of their brief was to produce a timeline of the history of the port, a project which we had been discussing for some time. The other half of the project is to expand the current display in the Museum about the Morgan Giles Shipyard and create a new touring exhibition celebrating the centenary of the yard.
We are delighted that the first phase of this work has been completed and we are incredibly grateful to A.B.Ports and Inspirations for their support.
