I am pleased to say we had a full house for our first lecture in our autumn/winter season which got under way at the Methodist Church Hall in Fore Street last night. Julian Wright and James Bellchambers drew more than a few gasps from a riveted audience - clearly learning a thing or two about the Lost Manor of Northford.

We have re-introduced the book raffle and collected £20 with three prizes handed out. Hoping for even more on November 10th when Sarah Orme will be talking about The History of Gardens. Our lectures begin at 7.30 and are open to everyone. It's just half price to get in - if you join the Society - £1.50 as opposed to £3.

During the AGM , held before the lecture,  our President,  Kristin Saunders appealed for people prepared to volunteer and  come in to help with the cleaning of the Museum. She is also looking for Royal Coronation or Jubilee souvenirs which will form part of our Diamond Jubilee display next year. We also have a special display planned to help mark the Museum's 50th Anniversary.
