National Lottery players will receive a 75% discount on admission to Torquay Museum on three days throughout the summer - 8th and 15th August, and 4th September. This is the Museum’s “Thank You” to lottery players whose ticket purchases helped to contribute to the Museum’s 175th anniversary celebrations through a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant.

The generous grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund enabled Torquay Museum to create its summer exhibition, The Secret Museum, which showcases 175 unusual, wonderful and sometimes bizarre objects from the Museum’s collections – many of which have never been displayed before and over 100 of which were chosen by the general public. The exhibition is open daily until 5th September.

The grant also funded the creation of a unique, free outdoor trail of large format historic images of Torbay, called Windows in Time, sited close to where they were originally taken. A trail sheet of the historic images is available to download, via Torquay Museum’s website.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund also financially assisted Torquay Museum during the Covid pandemic lockdowns, when the Museum was unable to open to the public.

National Lottery players will also receive a free goody bag consisting of a Secret Museum Guidebook, pens, pencils, spinning tops and more.

To take advantage of the 75% discount on the Museum’s admission price, simply present a lottery ticket that you have purchased, within the last month, to the Museum’s Ticket Desk on the discount offer days on 8th August, 15th August, or 4th September.
