Inspired by our exhibition A Picture of Health, use our digital microscopes to magnify the wonders of the living world including human tissues, insect and plant body parts or cells and bacteria. With over 100 specimens to study, you are bound to be amazed at the colours and formation of what is on the inside and outside of your body as well as other animals and plants.
Make your own microscope. we will show you how to make a simple microscope that will at least double the magnification. See what one of your hairs looks like when magnified.
We will also be joined by Devon & Exeter Medical Heritage Trust, who will bring some fascinating and sometimes gruesome items which will have stories to tell. Take some time to stop and speak with the team.
