Water in the Basement - Dawlish Museum
Added: 22 March 2013
Volunteers were dismayed to discover that heavy rain had found it's way into the basement of the museum. Luckily no exhibits or artefacts were damaged, but the water was in the main storage area for the bric a brac that had been assembled for fundraising. This all had to be removed as quickly as possible and will now have to be re-assessed for saleability. The water had also spread to the carpet in Jo's Room, our teaching and learning area.
Teignbridge District Council, our landlords have been informed, we can only hope for rapid and effective action and a permanent solution to the problem.
