Take a journey back in time at one of the country’s best preserved 18th century textile mills, and discover the fascinating stories of the industrial revolution, of the Fox family and their fabrics – and their extraordinary lifesaving contribution to the First World War – and about how wool is transformed from raw fleece into yarns and textiles. In continuous production since 1797, Coldharbour Mill now produces artisan yarns and woven textiles using traditional techniques on heritage machines, and you can see all this happening as you explore the Mill.
Lots to do and see! Children’s Victorian dressing up box - Play area – Have a Go craft activities - Guided Tours - adjacent Country Park - Café – Mill Shop – and the Car Park is Is free!
