The museum was delighted to welcome Barbara Wiffen and her daughter ,Sarah, to the museum to present us with her Uncle Freds gold watch which had been presented to him by the grateful people of Dawlish on his success in winning an Olmpic gold medal for his entry in the 200 metre breast stroke at the 1908 Olympic games held in London that year. This will be the first time the two pieces have been together in more than a 100 years as sadly Fred Holman died just 5 years later in 1913.
