Still Life Drawing and Painting with Kathy Wray - The Box, Plymouth

Enjoy one or more of our unique still life art sessions inspired by our summer of ‘Light & Colour’. Each session will have guided activities that take inspiration from our Sir Joshua Reynolds and Rana Begum exhibitions. You’ll get the chance to experience and engage with the artworks on display before creating artworks of your own using a wide variety of materials.

Friday 4 August - Ink and water based materials
Experiment with the fluidity of water-based materials in the discovery and understanding of what we can and cannot control through this way of working. Works made can then be developed into collage, sections and books, and layered and worked further upon when dry.

Friday 11 August - Collage layering texture and print
Explore colour with shape, form, texture and print as well as collage using some of the works made from the previous session, to continue with your creative responses, exploration and development.
