Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life Education Services and Resources
Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life is overflowing with objects pertaining to every aspect of life in Mid Devon from prehistory to the present day. Fifteen galleries showing everything from costume to a steam engine, from kitchen and laundry objects to an original Heathcoat lace making machine give an insight to how people both ordinary and extraordinary, have lived and worked in this area in the past.
For over twenty years Tiverton Museum's Education Team have been providing high quality, relevant and fun immersive learning experiences to children of all ages.
Using original objects in and around the museum galleries children are given the opportunity to experience history at first hand. All the sessions are carefully planned to maximise effective learning outside the classroom.
